Do I need a youth hostel membership card to spend a night at a youth hostel?
Yes, you need a valid “Hostelling International” membership card of your national youth hostel association. You are not member and you don’t live in Luxembourg? No problem, you can buy “welcome stamps” (3 EUR per night) @ every youth hostel. After having purchased 6 “welcome stamps” you’ve got an international membership card valid for one year from the purchasing date of the first stamp.
How to become a member ?
You have to buy a membership card at your national youth hostel association. The residents of Luxembourg have the possibility to get their card at the “Luxembourg Youth Hostel Association” (2, rue du Fort Olisy, L-2261 Luxemburg, Tel. 26 27 66 40) or by filling in our online form.
Is there any age limit ?
No, there isn’t any.
Is it possible to reserve a single or a double room ?
Yes, by paying an extra charge of 12 EUR/night for a single room and 5 EUR/night/person for a double room.
When takes place the check in ?
The check in is from 5 to 10 pm. The reception of the Luxembourg-City youth hostel is open the whole year every day 24h/24h. You have to check out before 10am.
Will the youth hostel close in the evening ?
No, most of our youth hostels is equipped by a card system which gives you the possibility to enter 24 hours a day.
Are there any restrictions for disabled guests ?
No, youth hostels such as Echternach, Lultzhausen, Luxemburg, Remerschen and Wiltz are specially equipped for disabled persons.
Is there any shuttle service ?
The Luxembourg-City youth hostel offers a shuttle service to the airport and the train station.
What else do the youth hostels offer?
Youth hostels have got the ideal substructure for meetings, conferences and workshops. Some youth hostels offer activities for groups, families and schools.
