Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival in Luxembourg
City tour or walking tour of your choice (you will receive tour tips from us)
Dinner and overnight stay with breakfast at Luxembourg-city youth hostel

Day 2:
Travel by train from Luxembourg to Mersch (for free)
Start of the hike at the train station in Mersch to Larochette
17 km / approx. 4.5 hours walking time / 340 hm uphill
Lunch pack; dinner; overnight stay with breakfast in the Larochette youth hostel 

Day 3:
Hike from Larochette to Echternach
31.4 km / approx. 7.5 hours walking time / 440 hm upill
Lunch pack; dinner; overnight stay with breakfast at Echternach youth hostel

Day 4:
Hike from Echternach to Beaufort
18.8 km / approx. 4.5 hours walking time / 540 hm uphill
Lunch pack; dinner; overnight stay with breakfast at Beaufort youth hostel

Day 5:
Hike from Beaufort to Vianden
32 km / approx. 8 hours walking time / 700 hm uphill
Lunch pack; dinner; overnight stay with breakfast at Vianden youth hostel

Day 6:
Hike from Vianden to Ettelbruck
26.5 km / approx. 7 hours walking time / 620 hm uphill
Lunch pack
Return by train to Luxembourg-city (for free) and end of tour

Services

We would like to inform you that we will have to charge a tourist tax in Vianden. This decision was made by the municipality and affects all guests staying overnight at the youth hostel. The amount of the tourist tax is 2 € per person per night and must be paid upon arrival at the hostel.
