Hiking tour through Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland

During the next 5 days you will hike through Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland with its imposing gorges, valleys and views over the Mullerthal region. First stage is Echternach, the oldest city in Luxembourg, which invites you to visit its many sights. But also the other villages like Bourglinster, Beaufort and Larochette have their very own charm and are situated within this hiking paradise. A short detour to the west of the country, more precisely to Hollenfels with its medieval castle, completes the hiking excursion. The start and destination of the tour is the youth hostel in Luxembourg City.

Alternative: Bourglinster – Kobenbour 13 km by foot and then taking the bus from Kobenbour to Echternach

Echternach – Beaufort:
18,2 km / ca. 4,5 hours of hiking / 640 hm

Beaufort – Larochette:
11,2 km / ca. 3 hours of hiking / 180 hm

Larochette – Hollenfels:
25,6 km / ca. 6,5 hours of hiking / 590 hm

Hollenfels – Luxembourg:
22,4 km / ca. 6 hours of hiking / 486 hm
