Echternach

Situated on the banks of the Sûre, which forms the border to Germany, Echternach (population 5.165) is the ideal place to explore the Mullerthal, a fascinating landscape of curious sandstone formations, creeks of gurgling springs and magnificent forests.

Echternach is especially well known for the annual dancing procession on Whit-Tuesday and for the medieval character of the city.
