Local French newspaper LeQuotidien published a series of articles about Luxembourg's youth hostelling network throughout the later weeks of this year's summer. Every Wednesday, the newspaper portrayed a different hostel, with seven out of nine hostels presented overall.

Youth hostel Echternach: Climbing course for kids in 2016

Due to the success in previous years, the youth hostel in Echternach will offer climbing courses for kids from 7th of January until 25th of February. And just like last year, the courses are designed for kids aged 8 to 12 and take place at the youth hostel's very own climbing wall, on thursdays from 14:00 - 15:30.


EcoLabel awarded to Luxembourg youth hostels

Parliamentary state secretary Francine Closener has recently awarded the EcoLabel to various establishments: The EcoLabel is an award for tourist infrastructures that fulfil around 80 criteria revolving around sustainable development. Luxembourg youth hostels were among the tourist infrastructure in question.


The SNJ trains new animators

The SNJ (Service National de la Jeunesse) is looking to reinforce its team and will soon train new youth animators for holiday activities in Lultzhausen and Marienthal. Registration for the training ends on the 16th of December, 2015.

9th edition of fair trade chocolate festival inaugurated at Luxembourg City youth hostel

On the 20th of November, the chairman of Fair Trade Luxembourg Jean-Louis Zeien inaugurated the 9th edition of the "festival du chocolat équitable" (fair trade chocolate festival) at the Luxembourg City youth hostel. Various Luxembourgish news outlets have published corresponding articles.
