On Saturday, 27 April 2024, the Larochette youth hostel's team invites you on a guided day hike of approx. 19 km. Before the hike starts, you will first take the bus from Larochette to Christnach (approx. 8 minutes). From here, the trail leads along the sandstone cliffs, the Schiessentümpel pond to the Kallektuff spring and back to Larochette. So there is plenty to see and discover. The start and finish is Larochette Youth Hostel.

The tour is suitable for experienced hikers who are used to walking longer distances at an average pace of around 4 kilometres per hour. After the hike, you can look forward to a delicious dinner at the youth hostel. If you wish, you can spend the night in the youth hostel. On request, you will receive a 5% discount voucher for the overnight stay for your online booking.

Places are limited, so prior registration is compulsory.

In 2024, the Mill-Man-Trail marks its 10th anniversary as Luxembourg's premier mountain biking event. Kicking off at the Echternach youth hostel, this event promises an exhilarating journey through the region's stunning natural landscapes.

Alongside mountain biking, the day is filled with diverse activities, including exhibitions, live music, and a bounce house for kids.

On-site repair services and a bike wash station will be available at the finish line.

This event is a must-attend for mountain biking enthusiasts looking to enjoy a memorable outdoor experience.

Running - Walking - Walking

Start at 11 am at the youth hostel in Echternach for a charity run around the lake. On 9 May 2024, the Association pour la Mucoviscidose (ALLM) organises the third edition of the charity run "MukoRun Echternach" at the lake of Echternach.

Experience the start of the water sports season at the youth hostel in Lultzhausen on Friday 31 May. Let a professional trainer take you on guided tours on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) or in a canoe.. A short introduction is included and the tours last between 90 and 120 minutes.

Prior registration via our ticket shop is mandatory and age restrictions of at least 13 years apply. The participation fee is €12 for young people aged 13 and over and €17 for adults.

Food and drinks are provided at the youth hostel.

Come along and experience an action-packed day on the water!

Participation requirements:

• Wear sturdy shoes (no flip-flops),
• be able to swim for at least 15 minutes,
• not have any medical restrictions for participating in water sports,
• Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Time:

10 am – 5 pm

Times for the tours:

• Guided canoe tours of 120 minutes each (at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm).
• Introductory SUP tours of 90 minutes each (at 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.)

On Monday, 3 June 2024, World Bicycle Day, the team of youth hostel Luxembourg invites you to an unforgettable guided after-work bike tour through the capital. The meeting point for this sporting adventure will be the youth hostel located in the Pfaffenthal district, and the departure will be at 17:30.

The tour lasts about 2.5 hours and covers a distance of about 15 kilometers. The age limit for participation is 12 years and older.

The route will take participants through the fascinating European and financial district of Kirchberg and along the UNESCO cycle route that opens up Luxembourg's World Heritage Site. During this activity, participants will have the opportunity to explore the city of Luxembourg on two wheels and discover numerous sights.
