An immersive art experience in Luxembourg's Aquatunnel during LUGA

The Aquatunnel, one of the main attractions of LUGA 2025, opens its doors to the public every day between 10.00 and 18.00 until 18 October 2025. A truly remarkable experience awaits you as internationally acclaimed sound artist Suzan Philipsz transforms the historic tunnel into an immersive art installation entitled 'The Lower World', combining sonic depth with raw urban space.

The project is presented in collaboration between LUGA and MUDAM - Musée d'Art Moderne Grand-DucJean, which presents contemporary art in a powerful public setting.

Two access points

• Entry A: Vallée de la Pétrusse – departures on the hour
• Entry B: Paffenthal – departures on the half hour

Suzan Philipsz – A voice that resonates

Winner of the 2010 Turner Prize, Scottish artist Suzan Philipsz is renowned for her site-specific sound works. In The Lower World, she uses the tunnel's natural acoustics to create a deeply emotional soundscape - a truly unique art experience.

All operations and ticket sales are managed exclusively by Sightseeing.lu. Professional guides take groups through the tunnel every 30 minutes.
