Krunnemecken nursery
Wintrange
The nursery welcomes children aged between two months and four years who live in the municipality of Schengen and the surrounding area.
Children are welcomed into a family environment every day, where they have the opportunity to discover themselves and their surroundings in different ways. Staff strive to meet their needs, interests and developmental levels through a variety of activities. These activities include experiences in the ‘Haff Remich’ nature reserve, Airtramp activities, multilingual education, language learning, music and creative pursuits. Collaboration with parents and cooperation with primary schools in the municipality of Schengen and other partners play an important role in everyday life.

Our educational work
As part of our educational work, we set ourselves objectives to promote and support children’s development. We therefore wish to:
- ensure that children’s basic needs are met
- accept each child as an individual
- provide them with the security, trust and attachment they need
- enable them to learn about themselves, their surroundings and their environment, and to respect them
- support and encourage them in their overall (emotional) development
- allowing children to be children, i.e. giving them the time they need for their individual development processes, without overworking or under-stimulating them
- encouraging children’s sense of community and social behaviour
- complementing the work of the family and maintaining good relations with parents
Our work is based on the national framework for non-formal education for children and young people.
