Visit of the National Mining Museum
Guided tour of the mine and mine railway at the National Mining Museum in Rumelange
Children immerse themselves in the world of miners: they walk into dark tunnels, where they experience first-hand how hard and dangerous underground work is. By the light of carbide lamps, they drill themselves, crush iron ore, secure the roof, move a mine car and even help with blasting. With every step, they feel what everyday life was like for miners – both physically and mentally. After this adventure, they return to daylight to take their experiences back with them.
