The medieval city of Bergamo is a real open-air-museum.

It is divided into two parts: the Upper Town, the oldest one built on the top of a hill, and the Lower Town, the most recent.

In these last years Bergamo has been attracting more and more tourists - Italians and foreigners - also thanks to low cost flights arriving at Orio al Serio airport (re-opened from June 2nd).

In order to enable you to discover this charming city in the most original way, our Bergamo New Hostel staff has arranged two routes that will surely meet everybody's taste.

The first route is called Delicious Bergamo: it is a 'taylor-made' offer for small groups loving good food and good wine. During the show cooking arranged just for you, you will have the possibility to see the preparation of a typical menu, wine tasting experience and visit the beautiful old town.

The other route is called On the tracks of the good Pope and consists of a route through the city, visiting historical and religious places and monuments. A full day excursion will be dedicated to the visit of Pope John XXIII's birth places, as the village Sotto il Monte, St. Mary of Brusicco Church, the Parish and the house museum called Ca' Maitino .

All of this in the welcoming and relaxing atmosphere provided by Bergamo New Hostel. The hostel is located in Monterosso, a residential area surrounded by greenery and tranquility but within walking distance from the city center.

The hostel provides single, double, and multibedded en suite rooms, most of them equipped with a balcony from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Upper Town.
