For you to successfully complete this challenge, you need a little knowledge of physics, chemistry and a lot of team spirit. You learn how to use a map and a compass and to orient yourself with the help of these devices. Around the youth hostel, you’ll find some clues hidden in the rocks. After this quest, you’ll learn how to light a fire without a lighter or matches and you’ll cook some stick bread over the campfire.

During this classical geocaching activity, the participants will be divided into groups and will have to resolve several riddles. Only the correct answer will show them the way. Concentration and cooperation are crucial. At the end of the activity, the participants will have to work together to find the real treasure. The youth hostel of Larochette is located next to the cycle path PC5 and is equipped with a ‘Rent-a-bike’ station with trekking bikes, e-bikes and mountain bikes. The cycle path with a length of 10 km is ideal to discover the valley of the White Ernz. A mountain bike path also starts at the youth hostel (length: 27 km). This path can easily be shortened and be adapted to the level of performance of the group. It is possible to book a local guide.

During this guided tour, you have a beautiful view of the castle of Larochette. The guide will explain how the impressive sandstone rock formations were created in the region. This tour may also be combined with a guided visit of the castle.
