Of humans and stones: Geo-Pad Steekaul Beaufort
The Geological Heritage Trail follows the route of the former narrow-gauge railway to an open quarry where Luxembourgish sandstone was once extracted. Your guide will introduce you to the geology of the area, as well as the processes involved in extracting and using sandstone. You will also learn about the historical narrow-gauge railway ‘Josy’ of Beaufort.
