As well as being a great base for outdoor adventure sports, the hostel’s own sports hall and climbing wall can also be booked for groups. Echternach is the ideal place to explore the Mullerthal, a fascinating landscape of curious sandstone formations, creeks of gurgling springs and magnificent forests.
Accommodation and facilities
The youth hostel boasts a dining room, a cafeteria with terrace, two conference rooms with view onto the lake, two meeting rooms and two lounges. It is situated right by Echternach Lake and has an equipped sports complex as well as a 14 m high indoor climbing wall. 118 beds are available in rooms from 2 to 6 beds, each of which has its own sanitary facilities.
Place and location
Situated by Echternach Lake, the youth hostel is just 15 minutes from the town centre on foot. A bicycle garage, and bus and car parking places are available on the hostel grounds.
Other recreational attractions
St. Willibrordus Basilica and Abbey Museum, pedestrian zone with numerous outdoor cafés, pubs and shops, a trampoline park and high rope garden on the “Adventure Island,” numerous walking and cycling paths, geocache, miniature golf, cinema, etc.
