FerroForum is a dynamic community of enthusiasts, both volunteers and staff, who are united by their interest in the cultural heritage and technical expertise associated with iron and steel. Based at the Central Workshop of the former Esch-Schifflange steelworks, now renamed Metzeschmelz, the association is located in an iconic site that bears witness to the industrial history of the region.

Around forty volunteers form the heart and soul of FerroForum, including former steelworkers, civil servants, artists and students, aged 20 to 75. Together, they share their skills and experience in a spirit of mutual support and conviviality, regardless of age, gender or social background.

The association’s activities include practical workshops, conferences, exhibitions, and cultural events. Every moment, from demonstrations and concerts to guided visits, becomes an opportunity for meeting, sharing, and collective creation, making FerroForum a place of transmission, innovation, and living memory around iron and steel.
