Planning your route
- Choose a route in advance according to length, difficulty and elevation
- Download the GPX files and offline maps to your GPS or hiking app
- Check the weather forecast
- Tell someone where you’re going
- Take enough water and snacks
What to bring
- Sturdy hiking boots with good grip
- Weatherproof clothing (dress in layers)
- A small backpack with water, snacks and a change of clothes
- Sun protection
- A first-aid kit
- A fully charged mobile phone and a power bank
