During the summer, the youth hostel Lultzhausen offers the rental of various water sports equipment. Canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddles can be hired for 3 hours from Wednesday to Sunday between 9.30 am and 5.00 pm. Come alone, with friends or family and discover the marvellous nature of the Upper Sûre Lake. Everyone who has ever been there agrees: a unique and unforgettable experience!

Experience the start of the water sports season at the youth hostel in Lultzhausen on Friday 31 May. Let a professional trainer take you on guided tours on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) or in a canoe.. A short introduction is included and the tours last between 90 and 120 minutes.

Prior registration via our ticket shop is mandatory and age restrictions of at least 13 years apply. The participation fee is €12 for young people aged 13 and over and €17 for adults.

Food and drinks are provided at the youth hostel.

Come along and experience an action-packed day on the water!

Participation requirements:

• Wear sturdy shoes (no flip-flops),
• be able to swim for at least 15 minutes,
• not have any medical restrictions for participating in water sports,
• Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Time:

10 am – 5 pm

Times for the tours:

• Guided canoe tours of 120 minutes each (at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm).
• Introductory SUP tours of 90 minutes each (at 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.)

On Monday, 3 June 2024, World Bicycle Day, the team of youth hostel Luxembourg invites you to an unforgettable guided after-work bike tour through the capital. The meeting point for this sporting adventure will be the youth hostel located in the Pfaffenthal district, and the departure will be at 17:30.

The tour lasts about 2.5 hours and covers a distance of about 15 kilometers. The age limit for participation is 12 years and older.

The route will take participants through the fascinating European and financial district of Kirchberg and along the UNESCO cycle route that opens up Luxembourg's World Heritage Site. During this activity, participants will have the opportunity to explore the city of Luxembourg on two wheels and discover numerous sights.

We set off bright and early at 05:30 to experience the tranquillity and magic of the morning. Enjoy a box seat on the water and experience the spectacular sunrise over the Éislek directly from the kayak.

Spend the night on site and start this unique experience rested and full of anticipation.

Calling all survivalist adventurers! On Saturday 3 August, the youth hostel Beaufort invites you to an action-packed evening for families with children aged 9 and above!

Forget the idea that bushcraft and survival is some kind of witchcraft - you will learn the essential survival techniques that really count in the forest: making a fire, building a shelter and identifying edible plants. We make it simple and accessible!

Join us on an exciting journey through the forest at night, where you will experience nature in a whole new way, without artificial light. Don't worry, there will be no scary moments of shock! Instead, we will explore the forest on a 4-kilometre trail with exciting games and discover a familiar environment in a completely new way.

As a grand finale, we'll gather around a cosy campfire, where you'll be served bread on a stick and a delicious stew. Enjoy your meal and be enchanted by the fascinating stories of the night!

Space is limited, so please book in advance.
