Wellbeing-hiking tour after the holidays in Luxembourg-City

If you’re looking for a sportive activity in nature after the holidays, why not consider participating in our wellbeing-hiking tour? On Sunday, the 2nd of January takes place the third edition of the traditional wellbeing hiking tour, with a vegetarian dinner to finish the day.

This year’s one-day hike will take place in the capital city of Luxembourg. Hiking in Luxembourg-city, you may wonder? But of course, because the capital is surrounded by forests and nature. The medium-difficult day tour starts in one of the oldest districts of the city - the Pfaffenthal with its youth hostel. At the beginning of the hike, the participants will be guided over the well-known youth hostels trail until Dommeldange. From here we continue towards Senningerberg with its green surroundings looking transformed during winter. The highlight of the tour: during the last few kilometres, we will travel by tram, before returning back to Pfaffenthal. The day tour is divided into two different groups: the leisure group (speed approx. 4km/hour) will hike about 22 km, while the sporty group will have a tour of about 27 km (speed approx. 5km/hour) on the agenda. The tour is all about ‘wellbeing’, as hiking is not only a very good endurance training, but it also combines the sportive activity with unforgettable nature experiences and therefore has a positive effect on our mind.

After the hike and to end the day on a culinary note, the youth hostel’s kitchen team awaits the participants with a delicious vegetarian dinner. If you would like to turn your hiking tour into a weekend trip, you are welcome to book a bed in the youth hostel, because the capital has a lot to offer.

Please register in advance, the places are limited.

Date:
Sunday, 2nd January 2022 including a wellbeing-dinner at the youth hostel. Shower facilities on site. Don’t forget to bring your own snacks and refreshments for the hike.
