GPS workshop: theory: How to prepare a route on your computer

In this day and age, GPS devices can be used anywhere at any time. Whether we travel by car, by mountain bike, go hiking or geocaching, this device is very handy. But how does it work during outdoor activities? How do you transfer routes from the GPS to your computer? Which device and software do you need for your hiking tour? And what is geocaching? Our workshops, organised in the city hostel, provide you with the answers to those questions and help you to understand the device.

This first workshop is rather theoretical because the participants will learn the basics of the GPS device. The planning of routes on the computer and maps will also be on the programme. The second workshop aims at combing theory and practice and thus we use the GPS during a geocaching activity. If you don’t own a GPS device, we will provide one for you. The two workshops may also be booked separately.
