D’histoires et d’art
Immerse yourself in a captivating journey through time with the Nationalmuseé um Fëschmaart's latest exhibition, "D'histoires et d'art". This extraordinary showcase invites you to delve into the intriguing lives and mesmerizing work of Luxembourg's 18th-century artists. Uncover the less-explored aspects of the country's art history, from religious altarpieces and still lifes to engaging portraits.
The exhibition's design transforms the space into a grand 18th-century salon, with all artworks majestically lining a single wall. As you wander, a series of video projections illuminate the stories behind the creations, offering a fresh perspective on the art scene of that era.
"D'histoires et d'art" is born out of meticulous research by art historian Henri Carême, revealing hitherto unknown details about the daily life of an artist in the former Duchy of Luxembourg. Accompanying the exhibition is a publication, the first comprehensive account on the subject, unveiling exciting new findings and deep archival analysis. Don't miss this opportunity to step back in time and experience the art world as it was three centuries ago!
