What does not belong in the forest? Who lives in a drey? Why does Herb Robert smell so badly and what does it feel like to fly through the treetops? The children discover the forest and its inhabitants through age-aproppriate games.

‘Hourglass’, ‘Mohawk-Walk’ and ‘Diverging-Vee’ are the names of different mobile low rope courses. The participants need to help each other and are responsible for one another. During the morning, we learn how to use the rope course. The difficulty of the course is adapted to the group. Trust, responsibility, respect and communication are the kewords. During the afternoon, we will work in a process-oriented way on the course.

On a field close to the youth hostel, concentration and body tension are the keys to success in archery.. We start playfully with simple exercises around bow and arrow. Set goals! Self-confidence and body tension require active cooperation from all participants and are the key to individual success. At the end of the day, you may organise a fun tournament for the whole group. Should the group be larger than the maximum number of participants, a whole day will be set aside and the group will be divided.

Through the valley of Halerbaach and Haupeschbaach. On this beautiful path you walk over small bridges and along the water. You will discover a lot about the old Befort mills and the flora and fauna along the picturesque Halerbaach and Haupeschbaach. The geological heritage trail follows the former narrow-gauge railway to an open quarry which used to extract Luxembourgish sandstone. Your guide will introduce you to geology as well as the processes required for the extraction and the use of sandstone. The historical narrow-gauge railway ‘Josy’ of Beaufort will also be explained.

A riddle book will help the children to discover the interactive exhibition about drinking water in a playful way.

Day 1:
Arrival until 09:30, start of the activities at 10.00
On the first day, an exciting adventure awaits you in the Mullertal. The forest and rocky landscape invite you to build and discover. But you also have to learn how to make a fire without a lighter and the day ends at the campfire.
Day 2:
Go on a journey back in time to the Middle Ages. How did people live and work, how did farmers and craftsmen fare and what did you have to do to become a real knight? We will dye cloth bags with plant dyes, get to know Beaufort Castle better during an exciting rally and have a photo shoot in medieval garb.
Ends at around 4 p.m., departure.
