Get on your bike and follow our guides through the Moselle region and discover its diversity. We start at the youth hostel and pass vineyards and forests until we arrive at the ‘Elvénger Plateau’. We then continue to Ellange-Gare and follow the former railroad ‘Janglisbunn’ through the ‘Elléngerbësch’ in direction of Remich. We arrive at the ‘Scheierbierg’ and enjoy the view over the town of Remich and the German village of Nennig with its vineyards. The more experienced cyclists may continue the tour to Mondorf-les-Bains and visit the beautiful thermal park.

During this hiking tour we discover the natural forest reserve ‘Grouf’. The tour starts right at the youth hostel and leads across winding paths through the gardens of the romantic village. The walk continues through the vineyards up to the nature reserve with its beautiful views and nice old, beech tree and oak forests. If you’re lucky, you’ll find some fossils, such as petrified snails or similar. A break will be made during the hike.

Our guides take you on this tour to the isolated nature reserve called ‚Kuebendällchen‘. The habitat of the region is diverse and rich due to different kinds of forests, shrubbery and wet and dry soil. The hiking trail leads to Wintrange and continues through the small valley of the ‘Kurlerbaach’ until you reach the southern border of the nature reserve. You then follow the path through the beech forest and arrive at the plateau. You just have to continue over the ‘Steppchen’ and the ‘Fëlsbierg’ to arrive back in the valley.

You may already have heard this song and some of you may have asked yourselves how this ‘Pättchen’, i.e., the glass of wine, is produced or even tastes? Unfortunately, you are still a bit deprived of this experience, but don't worry, the most important thing for making wine is of course the grape, with which you can make a wonderfully refreshing grape juice and which is even a treat for the smallest of you. So off to the vineyard you go! Accompanied by experienced experts, you can get hands-on with child-friendly grape shears and then produce your own grape juice, which you can taste straight away.

The wine and folklore museum in Bech-Kleinmacher provides insights into the history of the Moselle region in various houses. How did our ancestors live? We offer a journey into the past. Children learn in a playful way how people cooked and ate in the 19th century. They discover the museum's collections in a suitable way for their age and make their own butter under guidance, both on site and using different techniques and recipes to take home. This educational experience offers children the opportunity to deepen historical knowledge and learn about different ways of life as they explore the transformation of liquid to solid materials and try out new recipes.

During this workshop, the children learn to transform flax and hemp into thread. In the first part, they explore the museum's collections, where a guide shows them how plant raw materials were transformed into fabrics, and they learn about the importance of making fibres in everyday life in the 19th century. In the second part, the children immerse themselves in historical crafts by getting creative with a spinning frame and the support of a staff member and learn about another natural material: wool.
