The youth hostel itself has a very high standard without loosing the basic idea of the youth hostel movement. Even if all the rooms have toilets and showers, they still remain plain and simple. The hostel is to remain a place of meeting, the guests have to communicate with one another and use the many recreational opportunities. Assembly, recreation and meeting rooms, the finest available for the visitors, but also foreign guests.
Accommodation and facilities
The youth hostel is located at the heart of the town and provides 2 meeting rooms, 1 conference room, 1 multifunctional room, 1 restaurant, 1 bistro, an indoor playground and bowling. 62 beds are divided in rooms of 4 to 5 beds. The following rooms are available: 2 x 2 beds, 12 x 4 beds and 2 x 5 beds. Sanitary facilities are in each room.
Place and location
Beaufort, (population 2372, altitude 409 m), is situated on a plateau in "Luxembourg's Little Switzerland". The symbols of the village are the renaissance castle, the impressive ruins of a 12th century castle and the neo-gothic church. Cherry and Cassis are very popular specialities of the region. Numerous walks lead you through rock formations to the pictorial valleys of the Mullerthal.
